App Product UI & UX Design
Problem
It’s easy to observe that pets have become an essential part of people’s lives. People are willing to spend time and money on pets, and they eagerly wish pets could receive better care from society. The concern of society for pet families is not enough, especially in China. People can't find suitable places to take their pets to play, nor can they find safe and reliable sources of pet information.
Based on existing pets Apps’ reviews and pets App product research, we find that pets App users are searching for a one-stop application that covers all the services they may need when adopting a pet. They tend to resort to one App, preventing them from keeping switching Apps. Unfortunately, existing pets apps mostly tackle only one or a few aspects, for example, specifically focus on social community or e-shopping.
In that context, WePet App is designed to encompass all the functionalities an adopter needs with the exclusive selling point -- pet-friendly map function.

Two main functions of WePet: problem-solving functions and social network functions.
For the problem-solving function, we will create a map that displays pet-friendly restaurants, pet clinics, activities and places where pets can go for fun. The map also provides details including distance, type, environment, price, pictures, and other details. If any choice is satisfied, there is a button on it for users to easily make appointments.
Another highlight for this function is called “Foster.” If users have to go out for business or traveling they need someone to take care of pets for a while, they can post requirements and make orders in this area.

The campaign’s branding needed to be visually and emotionally accessible to a wide audience.
The campaign's visual identity aims to uplift and energize its wide audience. For our target audience, having pets is like raising children, which requires parents to learn all the time and it is inevitable to face challenges. We wanted people to feel their pets are cared for, no matter what kind of pets they adopt.
